Neighborhood Sycamore Coopers Hawk

The neighborhood Coopers Hawk is back and finally a halfway decent sun angle. He always sits on the same branch and sitting in mostly the same direction. He watches me and as soon as I get to where the sun is on my back, he leaves and flies SW. Here are some photos of him. Enjoy.

Note: I stand corrected. It is a Taiga Merlin and not a Coopers Hawk. Thanks for the comments! See the comments.

Nice photos, but the Cooper's Hawk may actually be a Merlin (Falco columbarious)

It's a taiga merlin, yes.
