Great Day South of Lake Lowell, Idaho

A great day travelling about 144 miles around the south side of Lake Lowell in Nampa, Idaho. We were looking for raptors. We did see a total of 38 different raptors, including Red-Tail Hawks, American Kestrels, Harrier (Marsh) Hawks, Ferruginous Hawk and Merlins. Great weather. The fields are being prepped for the spring planting as pictured to the left. Thanks to Robin and Margaret Gunnell for riding with me, watching for the raptors and recording the information. Enjoy the photos.

Nap time, but always alert for a snack.

Cool! Did you get to see the Snowy Owls out that way? I've been jealous of all my Idaho birding friends. I'm tempted to make a trip just to see them.

We saw the owls last week. They are beautiful! No owls on this trip.
